We’re very grateful to many individuals and organisaitons that have supported our work since 2015. Below are just a few of the incredible fundraising achievements that our supporters and volunteers have achieved:
Zuri trustees Ross, Joe & Kate, along with their friends Jenna, Dan and Fin walked the West Highland Way in 2015 to raise money for The Secondary School Project.
Zuri Co-Founder Martin Hewell cycled across Europe from Athens to Amsterdam to raise money for our projects and awareness about our work in Uganda.
Zuri volunteer Chris Hogan organised a marathon football match in Chorley to raise money for our projects in 2016.
Zuri volunteer Becky Kealey raises awareness about our work in Uganda by engaging with students at her school in Chorley. She also organises fundraisers to raise money specifically for Kishunju Nursery and Primary School.
Arden Academy students Ashleigh Lawrence, Frankie Smith, Nihal Bhatt & Eoin Russel raised £3000 by helping to organise a non-uniform day at their school in 2019. They also visited Uganda in 2019 to see how their contribution to our projects made a difference to Kishunju Nursery and Primary School.
In 2019, Zuri trustees Joe & Kate, alongside their friends Dan, Rob, Olli, Jenna and Matt completed the three peaks challenge to raise money for our projects. This is the second time some of our supporters have completed the three peaks challenge, after Zuri volunteer Chris Hogan organised a similar event in 2017.
In 2015, Zuri co-founder Martin and volunteer Chris ran the Edinburgh marathon to raise money for our projects in Uganda.
Every year we host a Christmas ‘Pub Quiz’ to raise money for our projects. Here, Zuri trustee Joe is selling raffle tickets!
We’re delighted to be supported by so many passionate individuals and organisations and we rely on people’s dedication and good nature to support our work in Uganda. If you would like to organise an event to support our work in Uganda then please send Ross an email – email@example.com
